travel, fashion, food and wine, design, style and tech
It’s been more than a week since I have posted to this blog — a week in a tiny village called Saignon in the Luberon, not far from Aix. There is no Internet access in Saignon. I am now in Avignon where there’s Wi-Fi and will be going to Uzès and Marseille in the coming days.
I will be posting my photos and travel reportages (depending on the presence of Internet access). The hill towns of the Luberon would be perfect for WiMax: no line of sight problems!
There’s not much to do in the Luberon, except eat good food (luscious Cavaillon melons, sweet cherries, Banon cheese, olive oil, sweet red peppers) and drink the local wine; visit 12th-century towns and abbeys (my favorites are the abbeys at Sénanque and Ganagobie), ruined fortresses and medieval churches, hike in the Luberon national park (assuming one survives the 35C heat), and hang out in cafés.
I have posted the first set of photos on Flickr (click here).
