ydu.jpg Young Designers United, a store on the Keizersgracht 447, is hosting two fashion shows: the first one takes place on Saturday, 29 July at 14:00. They will be presenting the autumn and winter collections for 2006/2007. There’s prosecco, music and lots of fun people.

The second show is on Sunday, 30 July at ON THE BRINK, a monthly fashion event at Thaot’n Thea, Herengracht 498 at 21:00. YDU will introduce four new designers: Afìn, Dress’d, Joy.c and Freepride.

I will be attending both events. YDU is one of the few places in town where you can find clothes and accessories made by upcoming young designers.

One of my friends, Xuan-Thu Nguyen, has sold her creations at YDU. Thu now lives in Paris and even has her own store at 1, rue Ferdinand Duval in the Marais.
