Wondering what to wear this fall? Trapeze coats? Tunic sweaters? Or heaven forbid, leggings? Designers, most of whom ran out of ideas in the early 1970s, have decided to bring back that loathsome 1980s invention, and based on what I have seen in Amsterdam in the past week, leggings are pretty popular. Except the people who are wearing them should have never gone near them in the first place. Not a pretty sight!
Read this article written by Molly Ditmore for KOIT in San Francisco about how to deal with the latest fall trends:
One of this season’s biggest trends is leggings, and many women are pairing them with this season’s fuller tops and coats. A word about leggings: they don’t work on most women. I think starlets look ridiculous in their 3/4-length footless tights. Maybe it’s the early ’90s talking, but leggings look lazy or unfinished and take the polish off a great outfit. It’s getting a bit chilly to wear shoes without socks, so perhaps the legging-trend window is fast closing.
