I am in Lisbon this week for the APDC conference where I gave a keynote on municipal wireless networks. I posted my photos on Flickr:

Lisbon is a beautiful city on the water (the Tagus River) and is built on several hills like San Francisco. There are lovely churches and palaces everywhere, little old wooden trams, fantastic restaurants and cafes. I took a lot of photos of decaying buildings because I find them quite atmospheric. The Alfama neighborhood around the Palacio Penafiel reminds me of the Montmartre in Paris in the old days before it turned into an expensive yuppie-expat hangout.
