Amsterdam street scene in winter: It is very festive here in Amsterdam at this time of the year. St. Nicholas arrived in the Netherlands last Sunday. Unlike Santa Claus, he gives away presents on December 5 and he’s not a jolly fat man. The number 9 in the photo stands for the “Nine Streets” area in the center of the city. I took this photo with my new Nokia N73 camera phone (see review here).
