Today is the shortest day of the year, the winter solstice. The sun rose at 8:46 and set at 16:30. That means from this day on, we get more light. But it’s also a chance to enjoy winter. I am not a cold weather person but I can appreciate clear winter days when there’s no wind and the quality of the light makes everything more mysterious. Here are photos I took this week with my new Nokia N80.

Here are reflections in the water. A day as still as this is so rare in Amsterdam.
