ajax.jpgAjax won 3-1 against Werder Bremen in the Amsterdam Arena but that was not enough for the team to advance to the final 16 of the UEFA Cup (also known as the Losers’ Cup). Previously Ajax lost 3-0 to Werder Bremen in Germany.

The whole season has been a tremendous disappointment. Ajax started out well then just deteriorated into mediocrity. Oh well, one can only look to the next season and hope for a Champions League spot in the future (highly unlikely the way the club is going these days).
