www.101cookbooks.com: Heidi Swanson is the author of Super Natural Cooking, a cookbook filled with delicious vegetarian recipes. I’ve been granola and sushi rice with avocado from this book and they’re fantastic.

Many of the people who write popular food blogs also have also written books that you can buy from Amazon or in bookstores. For publishing houses, they are much easier to sell than those from unknown authors. Heidi Swanson, who is also a graphic designer and photographer, designed her book, supplied all of her own photos, and simply got a printing house to print her book — the publishing house is there only for distribution and “light” PR. She already has a loyal audience through her blog.
