Andreas Klöden, a member of the Astana team (which abandoned the Tour after Vinokourov was found with someone else’s blood coursing in his veins), says he is seriously thinking of quitting the world of cycling. Klöden, who is 32 years old and was in the top 10 until they were ejected last week, expressed his frustration with the current state of affairs:
I have no desire to continue. Assume someone puts a forbidden substance in my salad. I’ll test positive and land in jail.
Yep, that’s who is to blame for strange substances in cyclists’ blood and urine, and for the horrible doping scandals that have plagued the Tour (and professional sports in general). Get those salad contaminators!
