The Internet has not killed print and certainly has not dampened the enthusiasm of readers for good old paper-based books. Forty-five million books were sold in the Netherlands in 2007, accounting for 568 million Euros (average: 12.60 EUR per book). The number of books sold in 2007 is the highest ever and shows an increase of 4.6% over 2006.
