According to Democrats Abroad, 23,000 Democrats in 164 countries (as far afield as Nepal, Mongolia and Antarctica) voted in person or online in the Super Tuesday global primary. The results are surprising and dramatic. Twice as many expats voted for Obama as for Clinton (65,6% vs 32.7%). Moreover, worldwide turnout was significantly higher than in any recent Democratic primary. In the Asian Pacific region alone it was ten times more than in 2004.
