Barely 24 hours after the Tour de France ended, German TV station ZDF says doping expert, Dr. Werner Franke, is in possession of evidence that Dr. Fuentes (of the Puerto doping scandal) gave Contador banned substances. Wim Vansevenant becomes the third man in history to win the lanterne rouge twice in a row, coming in 3h 52′ 54″ after the winner. Congratulations, Wim! The Dutch TV crew gave him a red lantern to hang on his bike at the end of the stage.
